The NHR 9430-12 is a 4-quadrant AC load that is regenerative and current-regulated, and it is made for accurate and versatile power testing. It can work in single, split, or three-phase configurations, giving users the ability to model a large range of actual loads. With a frequency range of 30Hz to 880Hz, the 9430 is perfect for testing a variety of power systems, including UPSs, inverters, circuit breakers, rectifiers, and fuses. It can handle input voltages of 10 to 175 VRMS and 350 VRMS (L-N) for AC applications. During testing, it may return over 90% of the load power to the facility mains, which results in significant energy savings.
A large selection of programmable modes, such as Constant Apparent Power (CS), Constant Current (CC), Constant Resistance (CR), Constant Power (CP), and Constant RL (CRL), are available with the NHR 9430-12. It is capable of simulating loads that vary from resistive to inductive components, as well as from linear to non-linear. Having a true power rating of 12 kW, a maximum apparent power rating of 31.5 kVA, and current limits of up to 90A per channel, it can withstand harsh load simulations. A maximum power of 12 kW can be achieved in DC mode, where the input voltage spans from 10V to 400VDC.
Its bi-directional 4-quadrant operation is one of its most notable qualities.
